Job Description:

Mission Summary

In this role, you will lead our global benefits strategy and programs, as well as contribute to our compensation programs. This highly dynamic role will require you to move from big picture thinking to design to the operational delivery of creative benefits programs that balance our business needs and the employee experience. You will draw on your deep experience as a benefits professional to create strategies that will help Motional build high-performance teams, create and foster benefits best practices, and optimize and evolve our benefits programs as we grow.

During off-peak time for benefits activities, you will contribute as a member of the compensation team to programs, developing recommendations, managing market surveys and projects. You will be supporting broader total rewards initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

This is a hybrid role with the overall expectation being 50% in the office and 50% at home.

The Motional global headquarters are located at 100 Northern Avenue in Boston, MA. Nestled in the busting Seaport district with sweeping views of Boston Harbor and downtown Boston, the offices are located close to major transit lines and a quick walk to various restaurants and popular attractions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deep subject matter expertise, including trends, thought leadership and practical hands-on administration
  • Highly effective verbal and written communications skills; able to distill complex concepts/information to employees and Senior Leaders in a digestible manner
  • Proven experience partnering and collaborating internally with People, Finance, and Legal executives and externally with vendors and consultants
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively from developing philosophy through execution and implementation
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once with limited guidance from leadership
  • Highly skilled at analytics, data visualization, planning, process efficiency, organization, critical thinking, and delegation
  • Excellent business acumen and judgement; strong team orientation with collaborative style; able to maturely handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Understanding of current U.S. laws and regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, PFL, and other benefit legislation)
  • 10+ years of experience in U.S. or global benefits, 401(k), and corporate wellness programs
  • Progressive benefits management with increasing levels of responsibility in identifying, consulting, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative solutions
  • Experience working in the tech industry, or a similar fast-paced environment

Why you should join us:

  • Be part of a growing team that is helping to build the future of autonomous vehicles by creating the best employee experience possible. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of benefits
  • We are a hybrid work company, providing flexibility to our employees to combine the best of remote and in person working schedules; when you're in the office, you can take advantage of catered lunches, free snacks, and a variety of on-site events. This is a hybrid role with the overall expectation being 50% in the office and 50% at home.
