The Role:

The Sage Group’s client, a Website Management company is searching for a part time contract Copy Editor focused on our French website and sales enablement materials. You’ll review and edit machine-translated content to ensure it reads naturally, is accurate, and resonates with a French-speaking audience. You’ll work closely with team members from Customer Success and Sales to confirm the right terminology and tone for our target audience.

What You'll Do:
 

  • Review and refine translated French content across website pages, blog posts, and sales enablement documents.
  • Ensure tone, grammar, spelling, and style are consistent and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Flag any potential issues withb layout or text overflow (especially in design files).
  • Collaborate with the design team to provide feedback on how translated content fits visually.
  • Help ensure translated content is culturally appropriate and clear to native French speakers.


What We're Looking For:
 

  • Native-level fluency in French and strong command of English
  • Proven experience in translation review, editing, or localization QA
  • Familiarity with web content and marketing language
  • Detail-oriented with a strong grasp of grammar, tone, and idiomatic French
  • Bonus: experience working with
    • Design tools like Figma
    • Localization platforms (e.g., Crowdin, Smartling, Lokalise)
    • Web publishing platforms (e.g., Webflow, Contenful)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with the distinctions between Canadian French and Standard French, and able to clearly articulate them—especially when it's helpful to bring up differences with the team. to decide on the most appropriate translation


Hours: 60-80 hours in May, with possible part-time work afterward
Location: Remote, must be located in Canada
Type: W2 Contract / Part-time
Start date: Early May
Compensation: $35-40/hr. US
