Description

We are hiring at Valstone for a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our Process Automation Portfolio in North America!

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and strategic Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at Valstone's Process Automation Portfolio. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving growth and market penetration for our innovative automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the automation industry, working to elevate our portfolio's position in the market.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Valstone's Process Automation Portfolio. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our growth and market leadership in this rapidly evolving industry.

This management position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, aligning with Valstone’s objectives to expand our market presence and revenue. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the Process Automation software industry, a strong record of success in sales leadership, and a collaborative approach to guiding a results-oriented sales team.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals for the Process Automation Portfolio
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and inform product development. Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team dedicated to the portfolio's success
  • Set clear performance objectives and regularly review progress. Client Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
  • Represent the Process Automation Portfolio at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Product Portfolio Management
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure our offerings meet market demands
  • Oversee product pricing strategies and positioning in the market. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the portfolio's sales and marketing activities
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on portfolio performance and market insights

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles within the automation industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies in the process automation sector
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies and market trends
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with an ability to align sales strategies with company goals
  • Experience in managing and analyzing sales and marketing data to inform business decisions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and marketing analytics tools
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
