MJH Life Sciences is looking for an HR Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist will be responsible for being a key partner in supporting our department leaders and their teams through strategy, execution, employee relations, performance management, compensation, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and employee engagement!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand strategic business objectives and educate business leadership on HR best practices such as talent management, employee engagement, performance optimization, succession planning and other HR functions
  • Conduct meetings with assigned departments and leaders on an ongoing basis to discuss and strategize the best way to support business and professional development needs
  • Provide guidance to manage and resolve employee relations issues as they arise
  • Help maintain a positive work environment and contribute to employee engagement
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management related to HR activities
  • Handle confidential HR documents and information with discretion.
  • Address employee questions and concerns, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Complete employee relations and administrative tasks throughout the associate lifecycle including exit interviews, stay interviews, terminations, FMLA discussions, and HRIS business process tasks
  • Guide leadership in team and individual development, compensation review, and goal setting on an ongoing basis
  • Utilize HR knowledge to collaborate closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase effectiveness and retention
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Complete other HR team special projects as needed

 

Experience and Skill Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a high-growth, high change environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and resources, meet deadlines, and be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with strong sense of urgency, drive and passion to take ownership of projects.
  • Proven ability to manage extremely confidential information
  • Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
