People Insights Analyst [PIA]
Summary
As SPINS first People Insights Analyst [PIA], you will report to the CPO. As a People Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data analytics and reporting, to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the HR function.
Your role will be instrumental in transforming HR data into meaningful reports and visualizations, to empower PeopleOps leaders, leadership teams and stakeholders with the information needed to optimize HR strategies and enhance the overall employee experience.
This position is based out of our HQ-Chicago campus, with two days on-site, as we offer a hybrid-flexible schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Integration:
- Collect and consolidate HR data from various sources, including HRIS, payroll systems, performance management tools, employee surveys, and other relevant databases
- Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date HR data is available for analysis
- Reviews both qualitative and quantitative data sets to prepare reports and insights
- Assists and prepares with ad-hoc requests
Business Intelligence and Reporting:
- Design and create comprehensive HR dashboards, reports, and scorecards that present key HR metrics and KPIs to HR leadership and stakeholders.
- Utilize data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) to create user-friendly and interactive HR reports that enable self-service analytics for HR users.
- Collaborate with People Operations team to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and mining to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within HR data.
- Translate complex data findings into clear and understandable insights that drive PeopleOps strategy and decision-making.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support leadership in addressing specific challenges and opportunities. HR Process Improvement:
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for process improvement within PO functions, such as recruitment, talent management, performance evaluation, and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data-informed PO initiatives and interventions.
Data Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in all HR analytics processes.
- Adhere to data privacy and regulatory requirements related to HR data handling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR analytics with broader business objectives.
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, data science is strongly desired
- 2+ years of experience in a financial analysis/people analysis position/reporting capability within a technology/professional services environment
- Advanced-level or super-user level in MS 365 Excel is required
- Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Power BI, OTBI, or similar platforms is preferred
- Working knowledge in SQL, Python is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret volumes of data and drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present complex data insights clearly.
- Ability to apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive business outcomes
- Experience identifying problems and using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies
- Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with HR platforms [HCM/ATS/LMS] is a plus
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to prioritize, multitask and flex as needs and priorities change
Salary range for this role: $70,000-$80,000
