Position Details:
Duration: This is a 6 month contract position
Hours: Hybrid position 40 hrs. per week - 9-5:30 with flexibility
Who we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a Royalty Tracking Analyst to serve as key component of the team, acting as the administrative support point person for Interscope Capitol's Publicity department. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, organizational, and creative skills. Prior marketing and administrative experience in the music/entertainment field is preferred.
What to Expect as a Royalty Tracking Analyst:
Assist the North American Income Tracking & Analytics team with the following duties:
- Collect, clean, and format data from various sources such as income statements, streaming platforms, performing rights organizations, websites, and other databases.
- Check and maintain large datasets for accuracy and consistency.
- Collect music consumption data in order to perform analysis and determine trends.
- Works and sound recordings research.
- Analysis of income and royalty trends from streaming sources, record labels, performing rights organizations, and other income streams in the U.S. and Canada.
- Client queries related to their reported royalties.
- ISRC matching.
Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor's degree
- Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of data.
- General knowledge of music publishing and/or royalties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent attention to detail, especially within large datasets Inquisitive attitude with research skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
